Everyone has a dream to travel the world! Since being a young girl i have always wanted to experience other cultures and my biggest ambition was to travel the world. Not only the cultures but learning new things and experiencing new things and trying different types of food has always appealed to me. I have been abroad a few times before becoming a mummy. My Dad used to own several pubs in Spain and myself and my brothers spent a lot of time up there, i loved the villa he and my mum owned! One of my dreams were to take over one of my dads pubs, he now owns pubs close by but my family take regular trips out to Spain.
Charlie turned 2 in October and by this age parents have taken their child to experience a holiday abroad but the idea has never striked me and the idea of travelling the world wasn't something i thought about since i had the whole world at my feet, married and a mummy! Since Charlie is so young i think the idea of being abroad isn't important he wouldn't understand the prospect of being abroad or even understand it and the idea of taking a toddler on a aeroplane terrifies me!
Of course when Charlie and our baby boy are old enough i cant wait too take them abroad teaching them different languages and cultures and to try different cuisines! There are so many different places id love the boys to visit, America, Africa ( since watching Wild at Heart i have always wanted to visit, id love to take the boys to see the animals its such a beautiful place!) Alaska, and then there would be places like the Canary Islands lots of sun and beaches - child friendly of course!
Childcare and Kids clubs wouldn't be useful to us at all, i wouldn't want to take my little ones abroad to just be in a club although they would probably really enjoy kids clubs they're available anywhere, it wouldn't be a holiday without my little ones, the holiday would be based around them rather then myself!
My perfect holiday would be somewhere that offers more than just a beach, Places to take the children and lots of child friendly activities like Aquariums, Safaris, Fun areas to visit , lots of pools and local beaches if its somewhere hot! lots of stuff to learn, I also love the idea of going on holiday with lots of mummy's with little ones going on adventures together, somewhere like Alaska would be perfect for this! All staying in a hotel type cottage with hot chocolate and the little ones playing together, this sounds like so much fun! Charlie is such an adventurous little boy, he always loves trying new things and climbing etc so holidays which cater this would be perfect!
In the meant time we love visiting beaches and safaris in he UK there are so many places to visit that offer as much as a holiday abroad, although most beaches are a good 3/4 plus hours away Charlie loves going for a paddle with daddy and collecting stones on the beach is one of his favourite things! He also loves going to safaris, we love West Midlands seeing all the animals and feeding them and a baby's theme park which Charlie loves as well as the arcades which he could stay for hours at putting penny's in.
We cant wait for the summer to visit beaches, fish and chips by the sea, making memories and lots of fun things to do! This summer will be even more exciting with a new baby!
